A little oasis in the Black Country...

Volunteering with Us

We try to keep our admin costs as low as possible, so that we can put the majority of our money directly towards the animals. We therefore rely very much on the kindness of our volunteers.  Why not come and join the team... you would be made most welcome!  Whether you're working directly with our animals, or helping out elsewhere on site, it all goes towards ensuring that the animals get the best care possible, and allowing us to continue to take in and rescue unwanted, neglected and abused animals in the future!

Whether you have a lot of time on your hands, or just a couple of hours, any help is most appreciated!

Please note we are unable to accept volunteers under the age of 18 at this time.

These are currently our main areas of work, but if you have a particular set of skills, or any other ideas that you think may help us, we would be very happy to hear them!

Maintenance, Gardening & Site Improvement

Café & Play Area

Animal Care & Husbandry

One of our main goals is to get our site back to its former glory, and even better! Sadly previous owners let it fall into disrepair and we are still picking up the pieces.  We desperately need people who can help us out with site maintenance, building, general DIY, and gardening! If you are skilled in these areas, or just have a genuine passion for them and would like to help us, please do get in touch!

This role can involve help with cooking in the café, a general waiter service, and help with cleaning and tidying up, etc. If you think that you could help us out in this area, please do get in touch!

PLEASE NOTE: This role is very popular, and due to high demand, there is currently a very long waiting list!
You're more than welcome to still apply though, but if you don't hear back within 2 weeks assume you've been added to the waiting list.

This role involves general animal care, such as providing our animals with food and water, helping to clean enclosures, and supporting our sanctuary team. It is certainly not a glamorous job, and involves a lot of sometimes hard and dirty work!
